Bedside cribs are usually easy to put together, and are on the smaller side so they are able to be placed neatly beside your bed. They also tend to be lighter, which makes them more transportable. Georgina also found it easy to put together although she thought the instructions could have been clearer about the zips.
Easy to clean
Look for cribs with mattress covers that can be washed with the machine when you are looking at bedside cribs or travel cots. This will help keep it clean from leaky nappies, baby sick and spills. It's also a good idea to choose one that can be removed and partially dismantled to allow you access to all the nooks and crannies to conduct an extensive cleaning and sanitising.
This is essential, as it will ensure that all germs and dirt have been eliminated. Verify that the sides of the crib are securely attached to ensure that your baby doesn't fall off or be trapped.
It is also important to make sure that the crib is easy to clean and it fits with your bed. This is particularly important if you are using a bedside crib for co-sleeping.
